Hourglass · Descending-clock endurance
Toughest Alive Hourglass
The clock is the opponent. Everyone else is an ally.
Walk, ruck, run, or take on Hybrid. Then return to the same basecamp and the same people choosing one more round too.

What is Hourglass?
Everyone begins each round on the same clock and returns to the same start, finish, aid station, and familiar faces.
Walkers and ruckers complete one mile per round. Runners complete two miles. Hybrid participants complete two miles and 10 burpees. The loop is intentional: encouragement has somewhere to live.
Upcoming Hourglass events
Confirmed Hourglass stops are listed here automatically from the Toughest Alive Tour calendar.

The squeeze
The first round begins with 30 minutes. Then 29. Then 28. Your distance stays fixed while the Hourglass keeps tightening.
Choose your way in
Hourglass is for walkers, runners, ruckers, Hybrid athletes, first-time endurance participants, experienced ultrarunners, and youth athletes. Choose the division that asks something honest of you today.
Complete one mile each round. Come to move, stay with the shared rhythm, and experience the course without having to race it.
Carry a pack and turn each one-mile round into a steady test of strength and endurance.
Complete two miles each round. Find your pace, return to basecamp, and line up again.
Complete two miles and 10 burpees each round. It adds functional work without changing the shared clock or the spirit of the event.

The heartbeat
You return tired. You refill. Someone checks on you. Then you decide whether to begin one more.
The shared basecamp is more than logistics. It is where effort is noticed, encouragement is given freely, and strangers begin to feel like allies.
Start where you are
Come ready to begin one honest round. We will meet you there.
